Journey Through The Military Diet - Day Two!

Hi Guys :)

Here is my Day Two of the Military Diet. Today I woke up a bit later than usual as I didn't want to get out of bed T.T grrr.. so left me super HUNGRY! All different types of food was running through my mind all day :P

You wasn't suppose to have a weigh in until "after" the diet but I just felt a bit lighter today and turns out - 1 pound lighter already after a day!! ^___^ *cheers*

In between meals, I tend to drink just water and the occasional non-caffeinated green tea - which I have to say tastes SO WEIRD! (Tetley) xDD I prefer my normal green tea :) (Chinese loose leaves). Imagine filling a cardboard cup with hot water and left it there for the water to absorb the cardboard goodness. Yup you imagined - Cardboard hot water :/ Ughh!

Day Two: Breakfast

- 1 scrambled egg
- Slice of wholegrain bread
- 1/2 banana
- Water

Thoughts: "Gimme GIMME!!!" Mmmmm soo good! At first, I listened to my sisters advice and plopped the raw seasoned scrambled egg in the microwave to avoid using oil (hard-boiled egg was recommended but I don't like egg yolk on its own), after it was done --> it was NASTY! Super nasty T_T Smelt so sour and tasted very eggy (if that makes sense?!) and had a rubbery tough texture. Bleugh! Not good. So, alas I got another and scrambled it with a touch of olive oil and light salt and pepper seasoning to taste.
Mood: Feeling less energetic than yesterday, but still very positive :) I can see my waistline shrinking - yaaaaay!! Yes, it worked just THAT fast :P Probably, water weight? :/
Hunger: Surprisingly very satisfying and can definitely last me until Lunch, no problem! ;)

(EXERCISE GAP - 20 mins - Blogilates Call Me Maybe Squat Challenge)
I wanna get that sexy round booteh!! ;) This one KILLED me!! STILL HURTING T_T

Day Two: Lunch

- 5 Saltine Crackers
- Mild cheddar cheese slice (substitute to cottage cheese)
- Scrambled egg (made with a lil olive oil, salt+pepper)
- Water

Thoughts: Still feeling pumped from the work out I just had ;) Yeah baybeh! I didn't fair too well with cottage cheese so I substituted it for a slice of cheddar cheese instead :)
Mood: Happy, full of energy :D
Hunger: Not too hungry as I drank a load of water, but did gobble it all up though :P

Day Two: Dinner

- 2 hot dogs (cut up)
- 1 cup broccoli
- 1/2 cup carrot batons
- 1/2 banana
- Water
- 1/2 cup vanilla ice-cream (not shown)

Thoughts: I put the hot dogs in the microwave and boy, they were smelling delish!! The carrots and broccoli were just unseasoned and steamed :) I like it that way ^^ Still fresh and sweet. Initially, I wasn't going to have any ice-cream as I thought it was going to be a bit too much for me (though I should!) I got extremely hungry later on and decided to have it haha!
Mood: Feeling ok-ish, Still a bit hungry but when I go to sleep, i won't notice it hehe :P
Hunger: After the meal, I felt satisfied however later on very hungry again (the lack of carbs >.<) so i ate the ice-cream :P

Day Two - COMPLETE!
Last day tomorrow - dun dun DUNN!! BRING IT!
Byeee guys ^_^

Journey Through The Military Diet - DAY ONE!

Hey Guys ^_^

Here's my first diet post for you all (though I don't post much anyways haha!)

Who hasn't heard of this so called Military Diet by now? It claims "You can lose up to 10 pounds per week on the Military Diet without strenuous exercise or prescriptions" - Renee, Military Diet Plan (HELL YEAH! SIGN ME UP! :P) which I saw circling around the net and apparently been around for quite some time now.

Naturally I was very interested, seeing it's Summer and still pretty hot in the UK.. Who doesn't want that HOT, SLIM BOD? We had WEEKS of heat wave ~_~" Mini droplets of sweat are appearing around my hairline as I type this haha!

A little info about this diet:
"You can lose up to 10 pounds per week on the Military Diet without strenuous exercise or prescriptions. And best of all, the Military Diet is free! The 3 day military diet plan is probably less expensive than what you’re already eating. The chemically formulated food combination is designed to burn fat, kick start your metabolism and lose weight fast. In fact, the Military Diet is one of the best natural diets known for rapid weight loss without a prescription" - Military Diet Plan.
This 3 day diet plan gradually reduces food intake per day i.e. more calories are consumed on Day 1 compared to Day 2 etc. Then thereafter for 4 days, you go back to normal eating habits within 1500 kcal range and may return back onto the military diet for another 3 days, then back to normal for 4 days until losing your desired weight.
For more information regarding the military diet click here.

A lil about me:
- Height: 5' 4" / 162 cm
- Weight: 9 st 10 pounds / 136 lbs / 61.7 kg
- I'm anaemic - therefore tend to eat quite a bit of meat as I lose energy quickly :P
- I'm a huge snacker! I am forever snacking in-between meals xD Crisps+Chocolate is kryptonite!
- I have a petite frame being Chinese therefore am actually pretty chubby for my height even though BMI states i'm in "healthy" range.
- I gain and lose weight rather quickly >:P Weird metabolism I have.
- My goal is to drop down to 8 st if possible ^__^ I gained too much during uni :P

To maximise results, I plan on doing at least 30 mins of cardio per day :) Lets hope I stick to it! xDD

Lets Begin!

DAY ONE: BREAKFAST

- Cup of tea with a splash of skimmed milk
- Small slice of whole grain toast
- 2 tbs of peanut butter (crunchy)
- 1/2 Grapefruit

Thoughts: Very excited to start this diet ;P Haha! Having quite high hopes due to the claim but we'll see how this goes at the end ^^ Well, I was pretty satisfied after the peanut butter toast and tea and didn't really feel like eating the grapefruit at all. So, I used the grapefruit as an in-between breakfast-lunch snack instead :) So far so good ^^

Mood: Happy and optimistic. Full of energy.

Hunger: Satisfied so far. Could be because I'm not a fan of eating breakfast though :P

DAY ONE: LUNCH

- Slice of whole grain toast
- 1/2 can of tuna
- Cup of tea with skimmed milk

Thoughts: I actually forgot to eat this at an earlier time, only when my tummy rumbled and I looked at the clock had 6 hours has passed since breakfast O_O Like woah! This means, the grape fruit from breakfast as a snack kept me going :P SUPER FRUIT! ^_^

Mood: Im starting to feel a bit less energetic and getting slight thumping in the head, probably due to the fact I just totally FORGOT to eat o_O"... Still full of energy.

Hunger: Though my mind is feeling a bit weak and my tummy is rumbling, I don't feel to hungry :P And I LOVE LOVE tunaaa! Mmmm! :')

DAY ONE: DINNER

- 3 Ounces of chicken (stir fried with a touch of olive oil + a pinch of salt)
(3 ounces is equivalent to a deck of cards)
- 1/2 cup green beans
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 small apple
- 1/2 banana
- Water

Thoughts: Thought this meal was a bit too large to be eaten all in one go, so saved the apple for later :) For someone who eats chicken in EVERY meal - yup every meal! It felt SO good to have that little bit of meat again ^^ Savoured every last bite haha! Mmm! The green beans as described in the photo turned out to be pea pods =.=" Damn. Bought the wrong veggie bag without reading xDD Lesson learnt! I felt that 1 cup of ice cream was a bit much for me - its still swirling and smushing about in my tummy now :(

Mood: Still feeling pretty positive but by this point feeling tired :( My body's not used to not having my asian rice haha! So lacking carbs pretty much :P Lacking energy.

Hunger: Got extremely hungry at this stage so gobbled the whole thing apart from the apple as I was stuffed by that point :PP This has got to be the most filling meal out of Day 1 :D

OK, Day One COMPLETE! WHOO
Stay tuned for tomorrows post and see how I get on ^__^v

Bye lovelies!

Hurraw! Lip Balm [Review]

Hey guys it's been a LONG while!!

I went to visit my aunty in Kent, London for a few days and saw a lip balm called Hurraw! in Earl Grey flavour! Yes, EARL GREY TEA! Mmmmm! Sadly, I didn't pick one up as I was a bit rushed for time - gahhh! >,<

"Hurraw! lip balm is all natural, vegan, made from premium raw, organic and fair trade ingredients!"

Soooo, when I got back home I did some research and decided to order some online :)

Price & where to buy: I got mine from eBay (£3.99), Super Smoocher (Having a closing down sale at £2.42 & £2.73 for special flavours) and Cute Cosmetics (£3.99 & £4.29 for special flavours). The prices are pretty decent for an all natural brand!! ^__^

Size: 4.3g

You can check out the official Hurraw! website here ;D Go check out their range of flavours!

L-R: Cinnamon (Tinted), Chai Spice, Pitta, Earl Grey, Coffee Bean

From my Hurraw! Haul, I decided to purchase interesting flavours you don't see often in lip balms (mainly tea flavours - I freaking love my tea: Cinnamon, Chai Spice, Pitta, Earl Grey, and Coffee Bean *drooools*

The lip balm has an oval shape and contains quite a lot of product of 4.3g in a tube

About Hurraw! (Read the full description on the website)

"Super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting;
plus, it had to hold up to being in a back jeans pocket all day without melting! It took us several obsessed years to formulate Hurraw! Balm and put it through all the rigors."

- Vegan

- Raw

- Organic

- Gluten Free, No GMO's

Non toxic

Core Ingredients:

- Almond oil

- Coconut oil

- Cacao butter:

- Jojoba oil

- Olive oil

- Castor oil

- Candelilla wax

Flavors:
All of the flavors we use in our balms are derived from 100% natural sources.
Most come from pure essential oils, the others (Rootbeer, Chai Spice, Chocolate, Green Tea, Black Cherry) are made for us from 100% natural, organically derived flavor compounds through various processes of distillation and extraction.

Chai Spice and Earl Grey

Chai Spice - This one smells spicy and slightly creamy sweet. However, unfortunately not my kind of smell. Its rather pungent and I find it pretty nauseating on my lips as I can constantly smell it. I prefer a more delicate scent. The balm itself is smooth and creamy. This is my least favourite flavour.

Earl Grey - This smells quite like the real thing (perhaps a bit tangy) - Earl Grey Tea! But when my sister came and smelt it she replied: "It smells like kiddy glue!" Like #@&£$%!! Now all I smell is glueee!! @.@ Noooo!! The balm is smooth and buttery on the lips.

Pitta and Coffee Bean

Pitta - (New special flavour) Coconut, Mint and Lemongrass as it says on the tube. You know what? ALL 3 flavours are distinctive and can identify them clearly. When mixed together it's a creamy, refreshing and mildly sweet concoction - yum! I just wish the Lemongrass would be less concentrated as I am not a big fan of Lemongrass. However, those who want a refreshing yet citrus-y scent  this is perfect for you. Application is smooth and glides on easily.

Coffee Bean - Coffee lovers! This is for you! :')) Smells slighty bitter and dark. Mmmmm! Wish it was a bit more sweet tho as I have a very sweet palette :P Hehehe!! Overall, quite a yummy scent and glides smoothly on the lips.

Cinnamon Tinted Lip Balm

Cinnamon Tinted - This smells just like cinnamon sugar! Very sweet, spicy and strong! :PP All of the other lip balms are colour-free and this was my only tinted purchase. This has got to be my favourite one forgiving the strong smell. And the colour? If you've tried the Vaseline Rose Pot  its very similar to that - has a slight pinky-red tint to the lips, however may not be visible on those with more pigmented lips and I would recommend the Tinted Black Cherry one from the same line. Texture is the same as the others - smooth, butter with the non-heavy feel. When applied on my lips there is a tingling burning sensation (caused by the cinnamon?) and seems to give it a more plump, fuller look ^___^ Whooo! All good! What girl doesn't like plump kissable lips? ;PPP

OVERALL OPINION

Pros:
- Quite affordable for a vegan, organic product that uses raw materials
- All natural with natural scents
- Soft and smooth that glides easily on the lips
- Light texture with light hydration (applies on richly without the heavy feeling and absorbs quickly)
- Can withstand heat better than other lip balms
- Unique oval shape that distributes product better on the lips
- Strong smell gets milder with time.
- Simplistic and attractive packaging: I just love love love the packaging + I love how the casing feels haha!! xDD

Cons:
- Strong scents, may be a bit nauseating for some but does fade away after some time
- Only hydrates for a limited time - not suitable for those with very dry lips
- Limited to only a few organic stores where not all flavours are available therefore have to buy online
- As it contains natural ingredients, will not be suitable for those sensitive to any of the ingredients

Would I recommend: Yes, If you are into all natural products with unique flavours and don't mind strong scents. Why not try a few? ;))

Would I repurchase? No! I personally can not stand the strong initial scent ¬_¬"

Until Next Time :)
